Covid 19 Update Unfortunately, we have received notice from the National Honor Flight Network that mandates the cancellation of ALL Honor Flight missions to Washington DC.

The notice reads in part: "In consideration of the CDC’s guidance and the serious nature of the public health threat posed by COVID-19, the national Board is issuing a mandatory suspension of all Honor Flight trips effective immediately through at least August 15, 2021."

Although we at Upper Peninsula Honor Flight were hoping to avoid adding to the hysteria surrounding Covid-19, we have no option but to postpone Mission 18.

We will be in contact with all confirmed passengers for Mission 18 via email or telephone to discuss the rescheduled trip of September 23, 2020. This date may change but as of now, we are hoping to fly in September.

Rest assured that we at Upper Peninsula Honor Flight will never stop until we have given each and every one of our heroes their well-deserved, and long-overdue Tour of Honor.

Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America's veterans for all their sacrifices. We transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II and Korean survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.  Vietnam veterans may also apply, but priority is given to WWII and Korean veterans. We are accepting applications from all Veterans who served from 1941 to May of 1975 to see the memorials that stand. Whether they served during war time or peace time and state side or over seas.

Of all of the wars in recent memory, it was World War II that truly threatened our very existence as a nation—and as a culturally diverse, free society. Now, with 430 World War II veterans dying each day, our time to express our thanks to these brave men and women is running out.

Upper Peninsula Honor Flight, A local Hub of the National Honor Flight Network, is our way of paying a small tribute to those who gave so much - a memorable, safe and rewarding.

Our mission is to fly Upper Peninsula Veterans who served from 1941 to May of 1975 to see the Memorials that stand in their honor.  This “Tour of Honor” is FREE to the veteran.  Airfare, meals, deluxe tour bus, t-shirt and other items are provided at NO COST to the veteran.
